AcroYoga Intermediate Class

  • Satyananda Yoga Torsgatan Stockholm, Stockholms län Sweden (map)

One of the best thing about AcroYoga is that no matter where you go in the world, you speak a common language with the community that practice there. Everyone knows what a Bird and a Star is.

Our aim with this 8 week class is for you to get to know some of the most common intermediate Washing Machines and transitions together with building strength and technique for starting the journey of more advanced flows, whips & icarians. This includes handstand practice and spotting techniques.

You are welcome to come with a partner or on your own. To enjoy it the most, you should have experience already with basic Acroyoga poses such as Star, Side Star and Backbends as well as transitions like Inside Side Star walking to Star and back. We will adapt to your level if you are a more experienced beginner that wants to advance fast as well.

About the Teachers;
Sofie, originally from Sweden, is a certified Acroyoga International Teacher and Mindwellness Coach who fell in love with Acroyoga after moving to Stockholm from South Africa. Currently offering stress relief and life coaching workshops and retreats, her aim is to integrate this and enhance the many life lessons she has found while practicing Acroyoga and coach this to others. “There is nothing better than seeing people conquer fears and limiting beliefs by pushing beyond their comfort zone. Acroyoga is connection, play and growth within body, mind and spirit.”

Manas, originally from India, enjoys Acroyoga as it means being transported to a headspace where he is fully present and failing again and again is fun. He is passionate about learning various quirky transitions in acro and being geeky about the technical moves and how to make it easy and elegant. Manas is a certified TheAcroWay teacher and has taught at various international acro conventions and holds regular Acro workshops in Stockholm. He specialises in Acro flow, Slackro, Icarians and Whips.
